Complete User Manual - flu.lu

This is the official user manual for flu.lu, the platform designed to simplify the management of your shortened links and offer advanced features for tracking, analysis, and customization. Although the flu.lu interface is designed to be highly intuitive, this manual explores every available feature in detail, guiding you step-by-step to make the most of the platform.

Interface Overview

The flu.lu application is based on two main screens:

This two-level design ensures simplicity and accessibility, minimizing the learning curve even for less experienced users.

Creating a New Link

After registering and logging in for the first time, you will find yourself in your personal dashboard. Here, you can start generating shortened links easily:

The system will perform a security check to ensure the link is not harmful. After the check, you will be shown the shortened link in a new screen that includes the generated code, the shortened link, the original link, and the option to copy it quickly.

Link Panel Features

When you access the details of a link, you will find several useful tools for its management:

Change Short Code

Using button n.4, you can replace the randomly generated code with a custom one. This is useful for making links more memorable or consistent with your campaign (e.g., /TEST123 instead of /zEFMPTRkkh).

Organic Ads

With button n.3, you can configure social media previews (Open Graph). If the link does not provide an automatic preview, you can manually define a title, description, and image that will be displayed in social media posts. This allows you to create promotional links that seamlessly integrate into users’ feeds.

This advanced feature allows you to automatically change a link’s destination based on the date. For example, a link can point to a January promotional page, then automatically switch to a February one, and so on. It is extremely useful for time-limited offers or seasonal content.

Print PDF

By pressing button n.2, you can generate a PDF containing the complete link report. The document includes:

Advanced Data Analysis

In the link panel, you can view and manage click data. Button n.7 provides access to detailed click visualization, while button n.6 allows you to export data in CSV format for external analysis or reporting in Excel or Google Sheets.

The metrics include:

User Control Panel

Through button n.1, you access the main panel where all your links are displayed. From here, you can also delete a link (including all related data and statistics), manage your API keys, change your password, and log out.

User Control Panel - User Area and API

In the user tab, you can perform account management operations:

The flu.lu APIs allow you to create and monitor links automatically from other applications. The complete API documentation is available at the relevant link here.
